Friday at the Senior Center

A few years ago i was looking for new and interesting jewelry shows for the fall.  I subscribe to a booklet that lists all shows in Ohio, giving me a rich source of such information.
To this point, I have limited my shows to NE Ohio, and so one in Rocky River caught my attention.  I lived there for 13 years,  knew the area well and was comfortable getting around.  I applied, got accepted and began to prepare.  It was a 2-day show, Saturday and Sunday i presumed.  Looking closer, it was Friday and Saturday.  Also, on first review, i read that it was at the Rocky River Community Center.  On closer review, I saw it was at the Rocky River Senior Center.  I really need to read applications more closely.

So there I was, with my first November show—Friday at the Senior Center!!

My expectations were low, but i gave it just as much attention as any other show.  Wow!  We did extremely well.  We actually made more money than some of the bigger and more prestigious shows we do.  Needless to say, we have been doing this show every since.  Show descriptions aren’t everything.
