The Big Three – My Measure of Success.

I love doing shows. Big ones, small ones. I definitely have my favorites. They are all juried by professionals in the field.

For me, I have what I call The Big Three. I try desperately to get into these each year. Usually, I get into 2 of the 3. My big news is that this year I was accepted into all three! If you are a jewelry designer, the field is saturated, making it extra hard to get into these shows, especially ones of this caliper.

If you live in the greater Cleveland area, you would be familiar with these names – Shaker Art & Music Festival, Berea Arts Festival (Sept. 13th) and Tremont Cultural Arts Festival (Sept. 19th and 20th)IMG_0035.

Maybe I will see you at one of these show.

Metalsmithing Poodle

This blog has morphed into an observation and reflection of life as an artist. I am a Denver based metalsmith who works in a call center by day, sells jewelry by night, and fills the rest of the waking hours practicing parkour. I am the founder of Purple Poodle Designs and I am the events coordinator for the Colorado Metalsmithing Association.
